Rachel's hair had become increasingly shorter on the right side of her head. (She sucks her left thumb and twists her hair with her right hand when she is tired. Unfortunately, her twisting leads to knots which she then pulls out to hide it from me, her mommy, since I nag at her about twisting her hair.) And over the past month, Rachel has gotten where she doesn't want ponytails or bows in her hair so it became time to cut her hair. We were both nervous about it, but pleased with the results. She likes her new hairdo. And the hair dresser promised her a present if she comes back with longer hair.
