Jake was as excited to see the wrapping paper with Elmo, Big Bird, and Ernie on it as he was to see presents and did a little gallop. Jake savored opening presents. He opened them one at a time and was very excited with everything. He got a truck, matchbox cars, Elmo and Cars DVDs, Thomas the Train track, a Clemson football and a basketball hoop. He then played with them for a while before opening the next. Nana called him Aunt Gladdis. He even had Mommy read him every book as he opened it. And he read every bday card. (Have you ever known a child to do this?) This drove his sisters crazy. In the middle of opening presents, he decided he was ready to eat cake. So we continued opening presents after.
