More Como Town

wasn't able to get all the pictures on one post - see below

Como Town

This afternoon Grandpa and Grandma took us to Como Town - a permanent carnival that I went to when I was a kid. Jake got to do a lot more than he did last year and was able to squeak by at the 36in requirement. Rachel's favorite was the hopper. She went on it twice before Reagan got the courage to join her (of course Reagan loved it too). Reagan's favorite was the fire truck ride. They rode up top and squirted down the fire, getting "all soaked wet". Mommy rode the teacups twice. The second time I rode with Reagan and was spun dizzy. The girls didn't want to take time to eat (not the case for Jake who ate most of a foot long hotdog). Rachel ate almost a whole bag of cotton candy for supper. Not surprising that they were hungry when we got home at 8pm.

Smashmouth

I am not sure where the girls have seen this done before....perhaps their mommy smashes her face against the glass on the van while pumping gas?

Scrapbooking

Reagan saw me scrapbooking and asked to help. Instead, I set them up with their own pictures, paper, and stickers and they made pages for Grandma's scrapbook. Let's hope they don't ask me to go to my next all day crop.

Sleds

The girls found their sleds that Grandma bought in anticipation of us visiting last winter (we didn't make it). They didn't mind that there wasn't snow, and played with them anyhow.

Back to the zoo

We went back to the MN zoo today to see the dolphin show. Reagan watched intently. She is already asking to go back tomorrow (and also to go to the sea lion show again at the other zoo in town). We also stopped by to see the Grizzly bear again - Jake's favorite "roarrrrrrrrrrrr". Rachel convinced her Grandma to buy her a mask and then wore it most of the day.

Truck

The kids and I got lost on Friday trying to find a nature center. We drove by a garage sale that had some great trucks for $2 a piece and bought Jake one. He LOVES it, and so do his sisters - they hover over him and try to take it away.

Grandpa's pool

It has been cool here in Minnesota. 60s in the morning with a high in the low 80s. It finally got warm enough on Fri afternoon for Mommy to get in the pool. Grandpa even got in.

Children's Museum (again)

The Minnesota children's museum is so big that we only made it to one floor when we went on Monday and spent 3 hours there. So on Thursday when it was threatening rain, we went back. We spent 2 more hours there on another floor. All three kids really enjoyed the grocery store, bus, and dr office. Jake also spent a lot of time in the water tables and on the "job site" shipping and receiving blocks on the conveyor belts.

Park

We walked to the neighborhood park this afternoon. Jake enjoyed going down the slide. Rachel and Reagan convinced me to put them in the baby swings when the big swings were being used.....

Watering Can

Rachel and Reagan helped Grammie water the flowers. The watering cans wer a little heavy.

Como Zoo

We went to Como Zoo today. My mom took me when I was a little girl. Not much has changed. The animals are up close for the kids to see. Jake enjoyed hearing the lions ROAR. Reagan insisted on seeing the sea lion show. Jake was more interested in dancing to the music that was playing and Rachel people watched (not shown in the picture) but Reagan watched the show intently and hung on every word the trainer said.
