Our first day at Disney World was at Animal Kingdom. We started the day at 8am and went to the Kilimanjaro Safari. From there we walked through the Pangani trail and then went over to see the Festival of the Lion King. It was fantastic and Jake helped roar. We then explored Camp Minnie-Mickey and got some photos and autographs with the characters. After visiting Donald Duck, we were awarded with a Year of a Million dreams prize - fast passes to use for the day. that meant that we wouldn't have to wait in line for the most popular attractions (even though the lines weren't terribly bad in September anyway...what it really meant was that Jeff and I would get to ride Dinosaur and Expedition Everest several times without the kids). Their favorite ride that day was the Triceratop spin. We also took the girls on Kali River Rapids water ride. It was starting to rain so it didn't matter if we got too wet. Unfortunately, the rain didn't let up and after waiting for 30 mins, the parade was cancelled.
