Clemson vs Duke

Yea! Clemson won! It might have only been Duke but at least the girls got an opportunity to cheer. They even brought their pom poms. Jeff and I took the girls to the football game with Jack and Papa. Nana went home with Jake. We knew there was no way he would sit still.

The Big 4-0

Happy 40th Birthday Daddy! We decorated with a homemade sign and streamers, and made a cake. Reagan wanted me to scrape off the chocolate, but that would have left only air (chocolate cake). The girls gave Daddy framed pictures that they drew for his office.

Operation Christmas Child

We packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas child on Tuesday. Rachel made one for a 204 year old girl and Reagan made one for a 5-7 year old boy.

Reagan DDS

Rachel and Reagan play dentist. Looks like we have a cavity...

Fracture

I finally got a copy of the original Xray taken when Rachel broke her arm. The view is upside down, but you can see how the knob of the bone is completely broken off from the long bone and how her elbow has swollen up. I'm thankful that it didn't pierce the skin.
Her physical therapy is going well. She has movement back in her wrist. Due to the nerve damage it may take 2 more months to come back completely. Right now she cannot grasp an object or straighten her fingers out. The physical therapist said that theis will be the next to come back, followed by forefinger and thumb movement. She is able to bend her elbow up to her ear, but can't quite get it straightened out. The physical therapist was pleased with her progress today - 6 weeks since her break. (Splint comes off permanently on Friday. Hooray!)

Dress up

Not exactly sure what they were dressing up AS...

The hair cut

Here is Jake's haircut. I think he looks like an ultimate fighter. His shark mohawk is gone. I wanted it short, but told the hairdresser I wanted a no. 2 on the top when that is what we usually have done on the sides....oops. Guess we won't need another cut before christmas pictues.
