Rainy days combined with illness make homeschool no fun. So as a reward for good behavior, we had "Rachel Special day". We went out and got coffee (for mommy) and a chocolate cookie (for Rachel) during homeschool while Reagan and Jake were at preschool and then went and got Rachel's ears pierced. She picked out sparkly pink flowers for her starters. She was determined to be brave stating that "5 year olds are too big to cry". Of course, she isn't quite as stoic when it comes time to clean her earrings twice a day.... (what's on her chin in the first picture - well, that would be chocolate cookie of course).
