Happy Halloween

Will get Halloween pics posted tomorrow (11/), but here is a preview of Bullseye, Buzz, and Jessie in the meantime. Unfortunately, our house was not decorated this nicely. This is our neighbor/friend Ms. Cindy's house.

Tailgating at Clemson

It was supposed to be cool but sunny-only a 10% chance of rain. But instead it was COLD and rained all morning at Clemson. Cousin Maddie and Lon showed up as well. (We were all tricked by the weatherman). We huddled under the tent to keep warm - except for Rachel and Jake who didn't seem to think it was so cold - even took off their coats. There were a couple times the rain let up and the kids were able to go out and toss the football. (Reagan stayed curled up under a blanket). Jake sported his new football helmet. He's not getting drafted by the NFL anytime too soon, but Clemson might take him. =) Needless to say, we were glad we hadn't gotten tickets ahead of time because the kids and I didn't go to the game. We went home to watch the game on tv and let Jeff, Jack and Papa go to the game by themselves.

Tate Farms

October isn't complete without a visit to Tate Farms. We went with Joel, Rebecca and their two kids Lon and Carter (ages 3 and 2) again this year.
Jake enjoyed getting on the "big ole tractor"

After all the rain we have had, the hay maze was awful muddy. We only let the kids go through it one time.

Rachel climbed the tower of tires. (It was a bit cool this morning and it wasn't very crowded....note the pictures of the scarecrow trail two days earlier when we were all in short sleeves and shorts.)

At the animal barn.

The boys pet the goats and girls held the bunnies.

And for $2 you get a ride on the corn train.

Pumpkin Patch

Taking the hay ride out to the Pumpkin patch at Tate Farms. This year the rule was that they had to be able to pick up any pumpkin they picked out (that was because we forgot to get cash and only came up with about $12 after a piggy bank raid).

Corn Crib at Tate Farms

There is just something about a corn crib. Who can resist the urge to jump into a pile of dried corn? Then we bring home the memory in the pockets of our pants.

Scarecrow Trail

With neighbor friends Melissa and Jennifer
At the Huntsville Botanical Garden.

MOPS scarecrow (of course, I didn't actually help with it though).

My favorite scarecrows

Jake has it made.
