Decorating for Christmas

The girls helped decorate the big Christmas tree and then did the little one in their room. Reagan didn't want to let Jake help, but Rachel shared her ornaments with him.

Christmas Cookies

We made 10 dozen Christmas cookies. The girls helped make some (we'll save these for santa - don't worry if you are getting cookies as gifts this year - I promise that I made those). Reagan rolled out the dough and was very diligent stamping out the cookies. Rachel had a good time frosting and was sure that they got enough sprinkles.

Turkey Day

We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house with Grandpa and Grandma. I made a traditional Turkey Dinner with stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and cranberry sauce with my mom. As if we didn't have enough to do, we made 5 dozen Christmas cookies that afternoon. Rachel was pretending that she helped cook so she wore her chef hat and apron.

Reagan's Birthday Parties

Reagan's birthday lasted 2 weeks. Her first party was in Cornelia at Papa and Nana's house on Nov 15. She had a Princess cake. Then she celebrated her birthday with Grandpa and Grandma at our house with a chocolate cake (that she won't eat) the day before Thanksgiving. And today is her party with friends with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. Maybe she'll wear her Minnie dress.

Dance Class

Last night was parents night at dance class. Usually the door stays closed during class and the parents don't get to see the class. But last night we got to see what the girls are learning. They even performed their special Alladin dance.

Playing in the Leaves

Reagan has been wanting to go out and play in the leaves since last spring, but most of our leaves haven't fallen yet. Papa and Nana had a yard full of leaves so Daddy got out with a rake and made a pile. At first Reagan didn't want to go out and play because it was a little chilly, but she just couldn't stand to see Rachel and Jake have all the fun.

Homecoming

Clemson had homecoming this weekend. Although we didn't get to Cornelia until about 10pm the night before, we got the kids up early and got over to Clemson by 9am. We went down to Bowman field to see the homecoming floats. It had been raining that morning and the field was a little muddy so the girls were glad to have their rain boots. There weren't many people there - who goes to homecoming when the forecast is iffy, the football team has a loosing record and the coach has been fired mid-season?....we do. Especially when they were giving away tickets to military members. They enjoyed having their cousin Maddie there too.
