Action Songs

It was time again for the preschool choir to sing at Sunday night service. This time they sang Fishers of men, If I were a butterfly, and Lord's Army. In the last video, note the kid that leaves the stage to talk to the choir director and then another kid on the left hand side of the screen at the end of the song - he falls off the stage.

Friends

We had our Sunday School class over for a cookout. The girls were so excited that their friends were coming over that they didn't nap that afternoon. Reagan mostly enjoyed finding ladybugs with Abigail - a kindegardner. Jake hung out some with his friend Cloee (or as he calls her, Gun-y), but he also enjoyed time with the boys - Joness and Wyatt. Rachel had fun with everyone.

Swing Set

Daddy spent 4 days assembling a new swing set for the kids. They didn't get to play with it too much at first, because they would fight over who got to swing on what swing, etc. So we had to lay down some ground rules. Rachel's favorite thing is swinging. She liked to swing as a little baby so this is no surprise. Reagan loves the double swing, but really would prefer if she is the only one on it. Jake doesn't know he is only 21 months, he does it all - slides and swings.

Butterfly garden

About 2 weeks ago, we received catepillers in the mail. A week later they turned into crystallis and then on Wednesday, out came the butterflies. The girls have really enjoyed it. (Jake does too, but I really have to keep an eye on him when he is looking at them.)

Bubbles

There is something especially fun about blowing bubbles (that and play doh). The kids could do it all day. This was Jake's first time to blow the bubbles on his own. He was very careful in dipping the stick into the bubble solution. He didn't spill a drop - but his sisters both spilled a bottle a piece.

Swimming Lessons

The girls started swimming lessons this month. They are working on putting their heads in the water and jumping in.

The Park

The park is one of their favorite places to go. Rachel still loves the swings (just like when she was a baby). Jake's favorite is the slides. A couple weeks ago we met up with their friend Jennifer at story time and then had a fun time at the park.

Bible Study

The girls loved going to CBS (community Bible study) this year. (Jake not so much). They had a wonderful children's program. They learned about the Bible through play and music - see previous post for musical program.

Children's museum

While his sisters are at art class, Jake and I often walk up the street to the children's museum. His favorite things are putting the eggs under the chickens and of course the water table. He didn't even want to stop playing when he fell in the water table face first and soaked himself to his waist.

Feeding the Ducks

The girls are taking an art class downtown. If the weather is nice, we will stop and feed the ducks at Big Springs Park - just outside of the Art Museum. Even though Jake was bit a few weeks ago, he still gets excited to see the "Quack Quack"s. I just don't let him toss the ducks bread anymore.

Community Bible Study

Rachel and Reagan sang this morning at Community Bible study. They sang a number of songs, but here is a sample of some. Reagan was so nervous that she broke out in hives.
